PRE-PRO + COLLEGE OPPORTUNITIES
Eagles is committed to training elite level athletes while giving them an opportunity to continue their spiritual formation journey and use their gifts for something beyond themselves. During the Summer, you, along with 60 other athletes, will be going through our Sports Ministry Training (SMT) curriculum. It's designed to help you practically integrate your faith into both sport and your daily life. We want your experience to be one that will have an eternal impact in your life! While playing for the Eagles you will experience excellence in soccer, authentic community, and have opportunities to serve cross-culturally and in our youth programs.
Our USL 2 team competes in the Southwest Division of the United States League Two (USL2). The division consists of clubs mainly from Southern California and Arizona competing in a league format between May-July.
Each summer our roster is made up of players from across different states, colleges, and countries. We are happy to take players from any stage of college education.
The Eagles’ League Two team (formerly known as the Premier Development League - PDL) is part of the United Soccer League (USL), the preeminent pre-professional division of soccer in the United States and Canada. The Seahorses have had a team in this league for 20 years and we’ve seen hundreds of players go through their program, providing a platform for players to step onto the professional soccer stage of the MLS, sending players to various MLS teams and other professional clubs around the world. More important than the high level of play, Eagles’ players experience a community and a brotherhood as they learn to use soccer as a platform for the Gospel, taking their summer experience and knowledge back to their schools, on to teams they coach, future employment, relationships, and life. As we like to say, “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”
MORE THAN A LEAGUE TWO TEAM
Playing for the Eagles’ League Two team is a different experience from all other League Two teams. Our players compete in one of the toughest divisions of this pre-professional league. Our program is led by A license head coach and assistant coach. While competing at this level our players are trained in sports ministry. This is something new for most. It’s a time of learning that soccer is a great platform to go and use it to be an influential player or coach. This is done with teaching in theory and in a practical way through clinics, camps, trip to Mexico and other opportunities that the platform of soccer offers.
